Mahiki Racing delivered a record-breaking performance at the Silverstone 500, highlighted by an historic pole position from Aiden Neate and Josh Miller. This special moment marks ten years since Lotus last claimed a pole at Silverstone, a milestone originally set by Gavan Kershaw and Oz Yusuf, and underlines the continued rise of Mahiki Racing at the forefront of GT4 competition.
From the very first session, Mahiki Racing showed dominating pace, with Josh Miller setting a blistering lap that smashed the previous GT4 qualifying record, that was actually set in the same car by Gordie Mutch driving for Mahiki Racing a year prior, by an incredible 0.8 seconds on his first run, and eventually finishing 1.4 seconds clear of the field. Aiden Neate added to the team’s success with a fourth-fastest time, ensuring the #84 Emira locked out the front of the grid. Meanwhile, Mahiki’s #69 car, with Jack Mitchell and Steven Lake, qualified a strong fifth after topping the times in practice, and missing Miller’s mark by just 0.016s.

“This weekend was a reminder of the incredible strength and spirit within Mahiki Racing,” said Steven Lake, Owner and Driver. “Our performance on track proves what this team is capable of, and our partnership with Lotus has been key to reaching this level. We’re proud to represent the Lotus badge and are more determined than ever to build on this success.”
Team Principal Chris Emery added: “Our drivers gave it everything, and moments like these reveal the true character of a team. We’re excited for what’s ahead and already fully focused on the next round.”

While the final standings may not reflect the dominance shown, the Silverstone 500 showcased Mahiki Racing’s true potential at the highest level of competition. The team leaves Silverstone with heads held high, lessons learned, and spirits stronger than ever. With unwavering support from our partners, fans, and the Lotus family, Mahiki Racing is set to continue its rise; faster, stronger, and more determined than ever.
