Mahiki Racing would like to formally acknowledge and address the disqualification of both Car 69 and Car 84 from Saturday’s qualifying session at Donington Park. The disqualification was issued due to a breach of regulations involving both cars being placed on airjacks after the chequered flag, a procedural infraction that, while unintentional, falls short of the standards we hold ourselves to as a team.

We fully accept the ruling and support the enforcement of regulations that ensure fairness and consistency across the grid. We extend our sincere apologies to the drivers of Car 84 for the loss of their well-earned pole position, and to the drivers of Car 69 for losing their fourth-place qualifying spot in class. We also apologise to our fellow competitors and event officials for any disruption caused.

While the outcome of Saturday’s qualifying was disappointing, our focus quickly shifted to making the most of the Sunday race: and our team did exactly that. With composure, strategy, and determination, Mahiki Racing executed a powerful comeback. Car 69 delivered an outstanding performance, charging through the field to secure 1st place in the Silver class and finish 5th overall. This result stands as a testament to the skill and resilience of our drivers, as well as the relentless support and adaptability of our engineers and crew.

Mahiki Racing is proud of the way the team handled adversity this weekend. Moments like these remind us that motorsport is as much about how we respond to setbacks as it is about celebrating victories. We are committed to learning from this experience, ensuring procedural compliance moving forward, and continuing to represent our partners, supporters, and fans with integrity.

As we look ahead to the next round, Mahiki Racing remains focused, united, and more driven than ever to push for excellence both on and off the track.
